I own a small site where I sell liquids. What should I do for getting more traffic? I think some of you guys have their own website also

Proper SEO can help, but not always. Sometimes it only makes things worse. Once I've bought some backlinks from the Chinese and it made my ranking tanking instead of making it go up. It turned out that they were using bad, overspamed forums for my links. I was desperate. But then one of my friends told me about these crowdo.net (https://crowdo.net) guys, I've contacted them and they made some nice links for me. Now I don't have any problems. My site's page ranking is good enough now.
