This weeks article:
What is a Hookah Pen?
A Hookah pen (http://vaporcodirect.com/product/lemon-hookah-pen/) in its basic form is the combination of 3 components, a battery, an atomizer and E-Juice. Hookah pens use no fire, no combustion and best of all no smoke! They produce only vapor and are well suited for use in social settings without being intrusive or annoying the people surrounding you.
Now lets break down the Hookah pen into its components so we can fully understand how they work.
What is E-Juice?
E-liquid (http://vaporcodirect.com/product/pineapple-e-liquid/) is a liquid used fill your atomizer, this is the actual substance you are vaporizing. E-liquid is typically a blend of Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Nicotine and flavoring. All components are food grade and safe to be used with your personal vaporizer.
What is an atomizer?
There are many types of atomizers out there; cartomizer, clearomizer, glassomizer, top coil, bottom coil, multiple coils and the list goes on… but they all perform the same basic function.
Atomizers are the chambers that convert your liquid E-Juice into vapor. There is a small heating element located inside the atomizer that heats up your E-Juice to the point of vaporization allowing you to inhale vaporized E-Juice and exhale nothing more than water vapors.
What does the battery do?
The battery connects directly to the atomizer and provides power to the heating element. There are 2 types of batteries out there, rechargeable and disposable. Additionally these batteries can come in both automatic and manual varieties.
Disposable Hookah pen batteries
Just like the name implies, these batteries are intended as single use and when the charge runs out they’re done. Remember, these are still batteries and should be recycled properly (this means don’t just throw it in the trash!)
Rechargeable Hookah pen Batteries
Once again, the title says it all… These batteries are rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries similar to the ones found in your cellphone or laptop. Typically Lithium Ion batteries can be recharged between 400-1200 times before they will not accept any more charge and must be disposed of.
Automatic batteries
This variety turns on when the user inhales from the mouthpiece without having to physically push any buttons. These batteries use a basic switch inside the body of the Hookah pen that completes the circuit with the battery when the user draws air from the mouthpiece. This is typical of many disposable Hookah pens and Hookah Pens.
Manual batteries
These batteries operated by holding down a button to complete the circuit and send power to the atomizer. The atomizer is only operational when the user is holding down the button, and is used in almost every rechargeable unit on the market.
So now that you know the basics of what goes into an Hookah pen, do some research into what you’re looking for in a personal vaporizer.
Are you looking to try Hookah pens as a replacement for traditional smoking?
Do you want to try an alternate form of consuming nicotine?
Do you just like the act of smoking but dislike the negative side effects?
Keep your priorities in mind, do your research and give the vapor alternative a shot.
